Bodywork Biography

My name is Carly Towle, and I am a nationally and locally certified massage therapist operating in San Diego, CA. (San Diego License #2008006572) I was born in Houston, TX and moved to San Diego in 2001 to become a video game designer. After spending 6 years in the field, I realized that there was something vital missing from my life. I missed interacting with people and wanted to find a way to put something positive out into the world.

By chance, I wound up at an Open House at IPSB (International Professional School of Bodywork) in Pacific Beach, and my path opened up before me. I decided to go to school full time and completed my Massage Therapist Program in December 2007. I love this work and feel like I have become immersed in a very exciting field as more and more people seek to heal the rift between their body, mind, and spirit.

I finished my Holistic Health Practitioner program in July 2008, with a specialization in Sensory Repatterning. In January 2009 I completed the Teacher Training Program at IPSB, and am currently employed as an assistant or aide as needed for various classes. I am excited at the opportunity to increase my depth of knowledge and help other students on their quest to become empathetic and intuitive bodyworkers.

When I'm not in my shop or at IPSB, you can find me volunteering for the Alternative Healing Network in various capacities, serving as a part-time bodyworker in their sliding-scale acupuncture clinic (Adams Avenue Integrative Health), and most recently as one of Dr. Dot's Assistants doing VIP massage.
